Draccu advises its customers in the field of batteries. In the region, Draccu is the market leader in the field of batteries for customers with a large-scale consumer connection. Why?
Because unlike other companies, Draccu mainly focuses on keeping the electricity on the property as much as possible. Many agricultural relations already have solar panels on their roofs, have SDE regulations and supply a lot back to the grid from April to September. This generally went well until 2022. Advances from the SDE and good feed-in reimbursements ensured that a good return was achieved on the solar power system.
However, in 2023 the market changed, SDE advances were no longer paid, permanent contracts disappeared and feed-in fees dropped significantly in the summer. In addition, the grid operators increased their rates, imbalance costs were doubled again and it became difficult to achieve a good return.
Draccu saw in time that if you did not look for a solution for this, the return would only decrease. Because Enexis increased the rates by no less than 40% before 2024, the need to keep electricity on one’s own property only increased.
And there it was, the battery, or as we call it, the dynamic and efficient battery, Draccu for short.
This battery is currently being installed by many farmers, especially pig and poultry farmers, to store the excess electricity generated during the day in the battery and discharge it again at night. This means that no more expensive electricity has to be purchased, energy tax, transport costs, imbalance and storage costs have to be paid. This quickly saves these customers 15 to 20 cents per kWh.
The second reason that companies find Draccu is the technical knowledge. Because batteries, solar power systems and power from the grid are connected within a circuit, this has consequences for the connection. After all, much more current can flow than originally intended. The cabinet often needs to be adjusted for this. But Draccu is also a leader in the field of safety with its battery systems.
The third reason that companies find Draccu is the tax and financial aspects associated with the purchase of a battery. For example, Draccu is familiar with the possible subsidies, tax schemes, but also the various energy markets that become possible through the use of a battery. Markets such as FCR, aFRR and mFRR are rocket science for many, but for Draccu that is a piece of cake.
In short, Draccu has developed in a short time as the market leader in the field of batteries for the large business market, by not selling and installing batteries, but Draccus; dynamic and efficient batteries.
